This day was perfect!

An absolutely stunning bride, handsome and humble young groom, surrounded by love in a beautiful hidden gem, Pinehill Pavilion, which is about 25 minutes from North Raleigh, and about 30 miles from RDU airport. It’s nestled in 160-acres of nature, with a charming private venue for the ceremony and reception, beautiful captivating cottages for bridal and grooms party to get ready, and hear this, served with light beverages and snacks!

Upon our arrival, we were reminded why we love what we do so much, the bridal party, which consisted of 11 ladies (yes, 11!), 3 flower girls and a mini bride were having a blast getting ready and sharing timeless moments with the bride, Cesia. It’s those moments of anticipation that seem to pass by in slow motion and fast at the same time, creating such wonderful moments that we don’t want to miss and had to photograph right away!

Meanwhile, Helena Makeup, Kriss Ventura, the bride herself and one of her sisters, Yurley, did the makeup and hair for the bridal party. Something so unique about Cesia is that she is a remarkable MUA, and her sister Yurley with hairdos, and are both owners of Jacinta’s Beauty, named in memory of their beloved mami.

Happiness was all around us with the bridal party getting ready in enchanting colors of burgundy, orange, black and champagne dresses, all matched beautifully with the boho style wedding details and decor.

The weather in early September in North Carolina is still warm and the sky played well in our favor with a cloudy day, always perfect for photos to have that natural touch without the sun creating unwanted shadows. The venue has picturesque backdrops for the ceremony and cocktail hour, and the reception hall is phenomenal with a sophisticated barn style finish that is exactly what young couples look for now days, but better. The owners of Pinehill Pavilion have done a remarkable job in creating a true experience for weddings and have invested so much in creating a beautiful canvas for us as a photographers, to really enjoy each part of the venue we photograph. Gina Hill the Venue Manager is a thrill to work with, she helped the couple the day before getting the entire wedding party coordinated for their ceremony entrance, and everything for the day of the event was orchestrated beautifully.

Our takeaway from this wedding is how we got to see first-hand the best moments come to life. Those moments include the first daughter-and-father look where we all cried as daddy saw her beautiful daughter dressed in white, that moment when we brought Cesia to do the first-touch with Abner and see them do a prayer together, and of course, stealing them for a few moments to capture the romance with just the two of them alone as newlyweds, smiling at each other, breathing deeply and so happy.

Abner and Cesia are dear friends of ours and we cannot be more thrilled to capture their engagement session as well as their wedding day, it reminded us that less than a year ago we were going through the same excitement getting married ourselves, being able to mentor them and get to relive these moments working together, something we were just beginning to dream of a year before and we wouldn’t change it for a second! You can see us on the last photo below celebrating too with the happy couple.
