Amber and Drew – A love story that makes your heart skip a beat
This was a late summer wedding in Raleigh at the Borden Building, located by the Fred Fletcher Park. To our amazing couple Amber and Drew: Grab some popcorn, cheerwine and Pepsi, relax and enjoy this sneak peek of your gorgeous wedding! For our upcoming couples, we love sharing these moments, from the moment we meet in person for consultations or to do their engagement session, we become your storytellers, so here we go! Let’s dream again of this day and tell stories about each other, relive that first look, daddy walking her down the aisle, and this time, (drumroll please) we have a gorgeous little princess who got to try on mommy’s wedding dress and also received a beautiful ring by the groom at the altar!
Engagement Session at Joyner Park
Amber and Drew like going to various parks and we kept going back and forth as to where to do their engagement session. One of their favorite parks, where they can bring their two daughters, is the E. Carroll Joyner Park in Wake Forest. This is one of the largest parks in Wake Forest and boasts with natural beauty all around. Here are some of our favorite photos from this session which took place in early spring.
All the details and getting ready
In our initial call with the couple, we remember the bride mentioning that she had a vision she wanted to bring to life, a photo of her oldest daughter trying on her wedding dress. Desired photos like this are exactly what we ask our couples to let us know so we can make time for them in terms of priority during the day of the wedding. Of course, once we are there we see more opportunities to capture unique moments.
One of our favorite ones from their wedding is an embroidered “Mrs. Smith” denim jacket with pearls. All the bridesmaids and the bride wore pearls which is by far one of my favorite details for weddings, always looks so delicate and as the saying goes “pearls are forever” which is a beautiful sign when getting married. She rocked it at the end of the reception during their send off!
The Ceremony at the amphitheater located at the Fred Fletcher Park
We have to stop here for a moment and just say WOW! The Amphitheater at Fred Fletcher Park is absolutely stunning if you are looking for an open space, this is where you will feel all the nature and loved ones witnessing your love! Our couple with their wedding party and two girls got ready at the Borden Building which is walking distance from the amphitheater. This made everything super flexible as far as the guests finding parking, strolling down to the amphitheater while the wedding party got ready.
Couple Portraits,
Last Dance & Send Off
Regardless of time delays or unforeseen events during the wedding day, we strive to work with our clients to achieve the most beautiful, authentic and romantic couple portrait photos. This can happen preferably during the first look, or cocktail hour. These photos will become one of your most precious possessions to include in your wedding album and have around your house with wall art.
Other moments which are super adorable to capture are when everyone is gathering to do your send off, the couple stays back for a “last dance” with a favorite song and wrap up with a grand fun finale with bubbles!
